Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Stannington's Laurence Barber started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rupert Sheene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lenny Thimmesch in the 3rd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Georg Schleck sped through Stannington's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rupert Sheene. In the 11th minute Lenny Thimmesch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rupert Sheene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Georg Schleck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mitch Jackson fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stannington's protests and gave Mitch Jackson a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Hawkcombe a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rudolph Hauck, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Stannington's Rupert Sheene. 0-2. Laurence Barber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute, Callum Bramhall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laurence Barber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Henry Juncker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Callum Bramhall struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Henry Juncker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stannington. The supporters of Stannington booed when Hawkcombe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Nosbusch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lenny Thimmesch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laurence Barber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Lance Orchard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stannington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hawkcombe the free kick. In the 61st minute, Lance Orchard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Julian Horowitz fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hawkcombe's protests and gave Julian Horowitz a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Hawkcombe got a freekick which was hit by Julian Horowitz. Callum Bramhall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Juncker having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Hawkcombe's goal looked a bit too open when Laurence Barber came free, but Henry Juncker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steve Lincoln hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Rupert Sheene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenny Thimmesch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Schleck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rupert Sheene tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Callum Bramhall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hawkcombe had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
