Spectators: 9244 (Terracing: 6934, Seating: 2126, VIP seats: 184) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Laurence Barber made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes into the match, SIX LUX's goal looked a bit too open when Callum Bramhall came free, but Francesco Graas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Steve Lincoln fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stannington's protests and gave Steve Lincoln a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Adam Downham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jupp von Ancken struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Rupert Sheene didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SIX LUX. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Callum Bramhall in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francesco Graas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 20 minutes of play, SIX LUX's Jupp von Ancken made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rupert Sheene was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stannington's Rupert Sheene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siegfried Pflaumenbaum in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Jupp von Ancken managed to get in a good position for a shot. SIX LUX's supporters rose to their feet, but Jupp von Ancken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rupert Sheene breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of SIX LUX booed when Stannington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Downham didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jupp von Ancken got free with Rupert Sheene in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jupp von Anckens short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Rupert Sheene to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Grünewald during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th minute, Walter Grünewald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Callum Bramhall came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Stannington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Callum Bramhall couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Siegfried Pflaumenbaum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Sheene having to interfere. Siegfried Pflaumenbaum struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Rupert Sheene didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SIX LUX. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Siegfried Pflaumenbaum in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rupert Sheene saved Stannington from getting behind. If Siegfried Pflaumenbaum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SIX LUX's Siegfried Pflaumenbaum got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Callum Bramhall struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Francesco Graas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stannington. After 81 played minutes Stannington got a freekick which was hit by Steve Lincoln. Siegfried Pflaumenbaum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jupp von Ancken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Sheene having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, Stannington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Callum Bramhall to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Stannington's zone, Siegfried Pflaumenbaum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rupert Sheene came out of the goal and Siegfried Pflaumenbaum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SIX LUX walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
