After 6 minutes, Perry Kaiser mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kidsgrove and the North Petherton City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Perry Kaiser kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Darius Nowak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. North Petherton City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kidsgrove the free kick. A collision led to North Petherton City getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Darius Nowak hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, Kidsgrove's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Blumenthal came free, but Karl Trausch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Blumenthal in the 24th minute of play forced Kidsgrove's goalkeeper Karl Trausch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Beermann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robin Schmitt went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Kidsgrove's Perry Kaiser got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 38th minute Jan Blumenthal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Trausch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrian Beermann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Schmitt in the 41st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Jan Blumenthal put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Karl Trausch.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan Blumenthal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Jan Blumenthal fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored North Petherton City's protests and gave Jan Blumenthal a yellow card for diving instead. Adrian Beermann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Schmitt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Daniel Hattendorf fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored North Petherton City's protests and gave Daniel Hattendorf a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, North Petherton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Hattendorf to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Beermann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Schmitt in the 56th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Robin Schmitt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adrian Beermann. North Petherton City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robin Schmitt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Jan Blumenthal kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Jacques Lavigne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Adrian Beermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute Robin Schmitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Beermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Jentzsch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th match minute, North Petherton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frankie Weiss to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in North Petherton City's zone, Robin Schmitt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Beermann came out of the goal and Robin Schmitt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Beermann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Schmitt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. North Petherton City's Adrian Beermann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Schmitt in the 89th minute of play. In the 94th minute, North Petherton City's Frankie Weiss seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Frankie Weiss the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of North Petherton City protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Frankie Weiss had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for North Petherton City! Giles Klopp placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Jacques Lavigne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
