When Mick Glöckner fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stanway's protests and gave Mick Glöckner a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Stanway getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Gottfried Ludwick hit a great ball. In the 16th minute Gerry Krier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Bruckmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Mick Glöckner notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of RedBoys Lëtzebuerg's Philip Pröll. Philip Pröll was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Philip Pröll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Bodenheimer in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Bodenheimer in the 24th minute of play forced RedBoys Lëtzebuerg's goalkeeper Philip Pröll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philip Pröll came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Stanway's Ralph von Hompesch zu Bolheim. But to his dismay, Ralph von Hompesch zu Bolheim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 30 minutes into the match, Stanway's goal looked a bit too open when Silvester Auerswald came free, but Fred Bruckmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Philip Pröll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Bodenheimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RedBoys Lëtzebuerg's Philip Pröll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mick Glöckner in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, RedBoys Lëtzebuerg's goal looked a bit too open when Ollie Holz came free, but Philip Pröll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralph von Hompesch zu Bolheim in the 38th minute of play forced RedBoys Lëtzebuerg's goalkeeper Philip Pröll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Gottfried Ludwick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Pröll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bodo Jentzsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Philip Pröll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell George Bodenheimer to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, George Bodenheimer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Philip Pröll, 0-4. Philip Pröll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Bodenheimer in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute George Bodenheimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Pröll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mick Glöckner took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philip Pröll. Philip Pröll dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Denis Happe's late challenge caught a Stanway's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Happe helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to RedBoys Lëtzebuerg getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Denis Happe hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, George Bodenheimer made a precise shot to the right of Philip Pröll. RedBoys Lëtzebuerg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. 83 minutes into the match, Ralph von Hompesch zu Bolheim notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of RedBoys Lëtzebuerg's Philip Pröll. Philip Pröll was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Stanway getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Dennis Ries hit a great ball. Philip Pröll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mick Glöckner, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. With an all-out effort, Stanway's Philip Pröll threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from George Bodenheimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 91st match minute, RedBoys Lëtzebuerg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steffen von Arnim-Boitzenburg to maneuver through the defense. Philip Pröll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mick Glöckner in the 93rd minute of the match. When the match was over Stanway could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than RedBoys Lëtzebuerg throughout the match.
