Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leo Brodmann took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd match minute, Padiham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Brodmann to maneuver through the defense. Jacques Kühnhackl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leo Brodmann in the 8th minute. Eddie Arendt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joel Braun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswald Majerus, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 14 played minutes Padiham FC got a freekick which was hit by Fred Ahle. In the 18th minute, Oswald Majerus made a precise shot to the right of Joel Braun. Padiham FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Padiham FC's Joel Braun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Hoffmann in the 22nd minute of play. When Denis Hoffmann fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.L.B.Diekirch's protests and gave Denis Hoffmann a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes S.L.B.Diekirch got a freekick which was hit by Denis Hoffmann. Joel Braun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswald Majerus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Padiham FC's Joel Braun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Kirsch in the 31st minute of play. After 32 played minutes Padiham FC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Dümmler. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leo Brodmann in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacques Kühnhackl saved S.L.B.Diekirch from getting behind. Christof Probst took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacques Kühnhackl. Jacques Kühnhackl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hermann Ahle during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 41 minutes into the game, one of S.L.B.Diekirch:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Leo Brodmann struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Jacques Kühnhackl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Padiham FC. Fred Ahle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jacques Kühnhackl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Eddie Arendt struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jacques Kühnhackl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Padiham FC. Eddie Arendt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Eddie Arendt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oswald Majerus's late challenge caught a Padiham FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oswald Majerus helped the player get up and apologised. Oswald Majerus hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, S.L.B.Diekirch's Joel Braun threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oswald Majerus, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eddie Arendt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jacques Kühnhackl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thom Grethen hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, Denis Hoffmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Braun. Padiham FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denis Hoffmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Leo Brodmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Eddie Arendt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christof Probst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Jacques Kühnhackl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Kirsch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Joel Braun made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Christof Probst managed to get in a good position for a shot. Padiham FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christof Probst was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacques Kühnhackl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Dion Ozwald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see S.L.B.Diekirch's Lars Achenbach in action when he in the 91st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Jacques Kühnhackl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eddie Arendt went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Padiham FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
