But to his dismay, Liam Baumgärtner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Brendon Law fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ollie Helminger having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam Baumgärtner in the 32nd minute of play forced Basingstoke's goalkeeper Rupert Joy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Jacob Stoffel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Union Remich Bous's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Basingstoke the free kick. In the 34th minute, Jacob Stoffel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the game, Union Remich Bous's Adrian von Radowitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rupert Joy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Felix Blake hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Union Remich Bous's goalkeeper Ollie Helminger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adrian von Radowitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rupert Joy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The Basingstoke players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Union Remich Bous were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brendon Law made a kick off. Rupert Joy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian von Radowitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rupert Joy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian von Radowitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Liam Baumgärtner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Rupert Joy made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liam Baumgärtner got free with Rupert Joy in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Adrian von Radowitz took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Rupert Joy to make any attempt to save it. In the 66th minute, Felix Blake hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Basingstoke's goalkeeper Rupert Joy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Brendon Law got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Basingstoke booed when Union Remich Bous was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacob Stoffel didn't get a good kick on the ball.
