After a rather tough play, Beeston's Fred Majerus got a free kick in the 19th minute. Giovanni Maurits showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Báez in the 24th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Beeston's zone, Dagobert von Hompesch zu Bolheim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fredrik Winkler came out of the goal and Dagobert von Hompesch zu Bolheim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mark Klingelmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Winkler having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Karl Happe made the kick off in the second half. Fredrik Winkler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Happe, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Beeston's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Happe came free, but Fredrik Winkler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Beeston fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fredrik Winkler should have stopped the shot. In the 69th minute, Mark Klingelmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. TSV 1860 München's Karl Happe got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giovanni Maurits showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 庄彬皓, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Charles-Louis Van Castel's late challenge caught a Beeston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles-Louis Van Castel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Beeston booed when TSV 1860 München was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles-Louis Van Castel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Joseph Mayer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Maurits saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl Happe might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fredrik Winkler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl Happe ran back to his position shaking his head. Although TSV 1860 München had been in control for most of the match, Beeston still came away with the win.
