Daniel Lutz might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Urs Hofbauer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Lutz ran back to his position shaking his head. Igor Brunner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franz-Josef Pepic-Helferich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, one of Club 1979:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club 1979. The referee gave Bootcamp a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rossario Wetzel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Club 1979's Igor Brunner. 0-1. The supporters of Club 1979 booed when Bootcamp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yannick Ritter didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Franz-Josef Pepic-Helferich made the kick off in the second half. If Franz-Josef Pepic-Helferich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Lutz took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Urs Hofbauer. Urs Hofbauer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Franz-Josef Pepic-Helferich struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Igor Brunner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bootcamp. Igor Brunner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franz-Josef Pepic-Helferich in the 70th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Bootcamp got a freekick which was hit by Philip Tschütscher. When Philip Tschütscher came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Bootcamp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philip Tschütscher couldn't finish the play. After 82 minutes, Fabian Ballweber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bootcamp and the Club 1979 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcus Peter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urs Hofbauer having to interfere. Urs Hofbauer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Lutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Franz-Josef Pepic-Helferich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urs Hofbauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Peter in the 96th minute of play.
