Spectators: 8575 (Terracing: 6448, Seating: 1977, VIP seats: 150) Fabio Caduff started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Next Gen FC's Dominic Bürgler shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marko Christen but with some difficulty. After some careless play in the Wem defense, Pio Ott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marko Christen. The Wem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marko Christen should have stopped the shot. When Pio Ott came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Next Gen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pio Ott couldn't finish the play. Pio Ott spun around in front of the goal 17 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Wem's goal. After 18 played minutes Wem got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Fischer. Pio Ott who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Marko Christen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Next Gen FC's zone, Leopold Schäpper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niklas Spalt came out of the goal and Leopold Schäpper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leopold Schäpper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Spalt having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Pio Ott put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marko Christen. A collision led to Wem getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Fabio Caduff hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pio Ott made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Leopold Schäpper rounded Next Gen FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. Stjepan Gruber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fabio Caduff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niklas Spalt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabio Caduff in the 61st minute. After having played for 62 minutes, Leopold Schäpper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pio Ott in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marko Christen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marko Christen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stjepan Gruber, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Pio Ott scored 3-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marko Christen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 76 minutes, Stjepan Gruber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Next Gen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stjepan Gruber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Next Gen FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Wem had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
