The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Burtonwood's Riccardo Fleck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mathias Kathan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jacob Josef Goob who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Mathias Kathan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Michael Weikl charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael Weikl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Burtonwood getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Michael Weikl hit a great ball. Mathias Kathan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Josef Goob in the 96th minute of play. Burtonwood succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Kings Lynn had controlled the match.
