Mathias Kathan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Roth, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Jacob Josef Fromm in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Liborius Mitter, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jacob Josef Fromm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Newton Abbot's Liborius Mitter got control of the ball when Wendelin Fischer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Liborius Mitter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Josef Fromm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kings Lynn were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Newton Abbot's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Micha Hilti took the corner. Liborius Mitter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacob Josef Fromm's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. A collision led to Newton Abbot getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Lorenz Aberle hit a great ball. In the 34th minute of the match Micha Hilti sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Liborius Mitter skillfully saved the ball. Liborius Mitter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Alija in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacob Josef Fromm to make the kick off. A collision led to Newton Abbot getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Herbie Schifferli hit a great ball. Renato Wollstadt kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Liborius Mitter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Casutt, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After 78 minutes, Jacob Josef Fromm made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Newton Abbot's Liborius Mitter tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Jacob Josef Fromm sped through Newton Abbot's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Liborius Mitter. Liborius Mitter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Casutt in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Joe Roth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Mathias Kathan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 92 played minutes Newton Abbot got a freekick which was hit by Gaetan Wirz. Kings Lynn's Jacob Josef Fromm got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adam Alija's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Liborius Mitter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
