Chris Stahl was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 13 played minutes Newlyn East got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Barkholz. Salvatore Wyser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Chris Stahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Salvatore Wyser's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chris Stahl was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Newlyn East's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when German Veto scored to the left of an out of position Alexandros Enzel, making the score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucien Dahinden in the 30th minute of play forced Temperley's goalkeeper Chris Stahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chris Stahl came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Newlyn East's Lucien Dahinden. But to his dismay, Lucien Dahinden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 40 minutes into the match, Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Salvatore Wyser came free, but Chris Stahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucien Dahinden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Salvatore Wyser made the kick off in the second half. Franklin Barkholz charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Barkholz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Newlyn East getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Franklin Barkholz hit a great ball. German Veto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandros Enzel having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Salvatore Wyser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucien Dahinden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lucien Dahinden in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Chris Stahl, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Chris Stahl made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Lucien Dahinden sent off a good shot on target. Salvatore Wyser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Stahl having to interfere. After 73 minutes, Lucien Dahinden made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Temperley's Chris Stahl tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Lutz Memeti came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Temperley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lutz Memeti couldn't finish the play. Alexandros Enzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from German Veto in the 79th minute of play. Chris Stahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvatore Wyser, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Franklin Barkholz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The attack was good, but when Lucien Dahinden in the 94th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ignacio De la Torre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Newlyn East supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Newlyn East would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
