The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mauritz Barbey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinhard Buol in the 13th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Looe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reinhard Buol came free, but Mauritz Barbey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A very good chance for a goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flori Nutsch made a kick off. Yateley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinhard Buol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yateley played a much better game than Looe FC and deserved their victory. The Looe FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
