Marcus Wachter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hanspeter Jopek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronny Flatz charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronny Flatz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Johannes Schirnböck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Muron Union's goal looked a bit too open when Muhammet Quaderer came free, but Marcus Wachter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Igor Burali left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liechtenstein City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Florian Bürzle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yasar Spescha in the 36th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Muron Union's goal looked a bit too open when Stjepan Rotar came free, but Marcus Wachter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Wachter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liechtenstein City. If Muhammet Quaderer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 82 minutes, Igor Burali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liechtenstein City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Burali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Muron Union fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Liechtenstein City were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
