The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thomas Batliner kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Bendern's János Gere ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vincente Vazquez. Vincente Vazquez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Wootton Bassett City's Vincente Vazquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Wootton Bassett City from getting a goal against them. With his leg Vincente Vazquez managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Bendern's Radoslaw Golota fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Radoslaw Golotas short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Vincente Vazquez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 42nd minute Arman Ilımlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincente Vazquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Radoslaw Golota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Frick made a kick off. In the 54th minute Arman Ilımlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincente Vazquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Wootton Bassett City defense, Arman Ilımlı kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vincente Vazquez. The Wootton Bassett City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vincente Vazquez should have stopped the shot. Radoslaw Golota took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vincente Vazquez. Vincente Vazquez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. When Antonio Zurflüh fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wootton Bassett City's protests and gave Antonio Zurflüh a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Wootton Bassett City getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Antonio Zurflüh hit a great ball. When Arman Ilımlı came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Bendern fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arman Ilımlı couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Arman Ilımlı put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vincente Vazquez. Vincente Vazquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arman Ilımlı, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Vincente Vazquez came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Bendern's Arman Ilımlı. But to his dismay, Arman Ilımlı quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Thomas Batliner's late challenge caught a Bendern's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Batliner helped the player get up and apologised. Thomas Batliner kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Arman Ilımlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wootton Bassett City's Vincente Vazquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arman Ilımlı in the 91st minute of play. Arman Ilımlı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Vincente Vazquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bendern were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Wootton Bassett City for a fine match.
