The referee ignored Youth City's protests and gave Wolfgang Zarn a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Youth City getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Wolfgang Zarn hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, René Schleith got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Youth City's goalkeeper Rüdiger Dietsche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Fürst. Laurin Roch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukas Casutt, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Youth City's goalkeeper Rüdiger Dietsche, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 33 played minutes Youth City got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Casutt. When Gerhard Hamazic came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Youth City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerhard Hamazic couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Luka Hilty made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Luka Hilty was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Youth City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black Town the free kick. Lukas Casutt's late challenge caught a Black Town's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lukas Casutt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute, Lukas Casutt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luka Hilty was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Black Town booed when Youth City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luka Hilty didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Matthias Wohlwend managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Town's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthias Wohlwend was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rüdiger Dietsche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Fürst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rüdiger Dietsche having to interfere. After 88 played minutes Youth City got a freekick which was hit by Wolfgang Zarn. The supporters of Black Town booed when Youth City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Kaiser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rüdiger Dietsche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norman Rahel in the 93rd minute of the match. Black Town's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
