Forst Post 's Rudolf Kobler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Forst Post from getting a goal against them. After 6 played minutes Forst Post got a freekick which was hit by José Hilty. José Hilty charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Hilty the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Green United booed when Forst Post was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Hilty didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes Adriano Strub could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. Rudolf Kobler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rainer Hörmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Forst Post 's goal looked a bit too open when Rainer Hörmann came free, but Rudolf Kobler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adriano Strubs short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Rudolf Kobler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 31st play minutes Adriano Strub shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Rudolf Kobler and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Adriano Strub took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Rudolf Kobler to make any attempt to save it. In the 42nd minute of the match Andreas Jauch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kevin Wehrle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rudolf Kobler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Strub in the 44th minute of play. If Adriano Strub had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Ecki Meister made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Rainer Hörmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Green United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Forst Post 's Rudolf Kobler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ecki Meister in the 57th minute of play. The excitement rose when Green United's Pascal Stricker after 70 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Forst Post 's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 6-0. Rudolf Kobler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascal Stricker in the 77th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Pascal Stricker sped through Forst Post 's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rudolf Kobler. During the 81st minute of the match José Hilty completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave José Hilty a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Forst Post getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. José Hilty hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Forst Post defense, Adriano Strub kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rudolf Kobler. The Forst Post fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rudolf Kobler should have stopped the shot. Ecki Meister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Kobler having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Green United had played much better football throughout.
