After a defensive mix-up in Bayern Vaduz FC's zone, Franco Dupuy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Etienne Meister came out of the goal and Franco Dupuy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Etienne Meister made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukas Dupuy in the 16th minute of play. Stefan Büchel hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Lorenzo Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Triesen's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorenzo Guerreiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Etienne Meister breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Franco Dupuy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Etienne Meister was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Etienne Meister showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukas Dupuy in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, FC Triesen's Franco Dupuy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The referee showed Lorenzo Guerreiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bayern Vaduz FC booed when FC Triesen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half FC Triesen were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lukas Dupuy made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Bayern Vaduz FC's goalkeeper Etienne Meister had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franco Dupuy.
