An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvise Di Toro in the 31st minute of play forced Borgonuovo's goalkeeper Alvaro Di Santo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Alvise Di Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Di Santo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anthony Pellegrini hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. If Alvise Di Toro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Berardinelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuele Paolini in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Bernardo Bertoni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fiorino's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Bertoni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Di Santo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 51stth minute of the game Alvise Di Toro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borgonuovo's Alvaro Di Santo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Filippo Benarrivo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvaro Di Santo. Borgonuovo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filippo Benarrivo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Achille Di Rado took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabiano Berardinelli. Fabiano Berardinelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Bernardo Bertoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Di Santo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvise Di Toro, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Alvaro Di Santo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippo Benarrivo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Fiorino support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
