Rebbio's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alessandro Paolucci 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Nuh Ağca took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ciro Benarrivo. Rebbio's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Rebbio's goalkeeper Ciro Benarrivo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dave Tullo. Ciro Benarrivo made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Bruno Palladino sent off a good shot on target. Rivale's Nuh Ağca shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ciro Benarrivo but with some difficulty. The crowd rose to their feet as Rivale's Bruno Palladino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ciro Benarrivo. That made the score 3-0 after 27 minutes of play. In the 34th minute, Dave Tullo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciro Benarrivo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Alessandro Paolucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Benarrivo having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Rebbio's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Simone came free, but Ciro Benarrivo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carmine Cannata during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Palladino in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciro Benarrivo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anfilogino Finocchio to strike the kick off in the second half. Ciro Benarrivo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Attilio Sarnelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute Anselmo Simone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Benarrivo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciro Benarrivo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alessandro Paolucci went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Alessandro Paolucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Rebbio's Carmine Puglielli got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ciro Benarrivo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Palladino, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rebbio's goalkeeper Ciro Benarrivo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carmine Cannata hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Ciro Benarrivo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Paolucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 86 minutes, Bruno Palladino made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rebbio's Ciro Benarrivo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Paolucci in the 90th minute of play forced Rebbio's goalkeeper Ciro Benarrivo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Carmine Puglielli fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rebbio's protests and gave Carmine Puglielli a yellow card for diving instead. There was no doubt that Rivale were the better team. Rivale's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
