Biagio Scannella started the match with the kick off. Alvise Sarnelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alvise Sarnelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Palladino, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute, Dave Tullo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvise Sarnelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Ercole Di Gennaro hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Alessandro Paolucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Alvise Sarnelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvise Sarnelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Paolucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The Porto Fuori players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rivale were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Palladino to make the kick off. Dave Tullo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise Sarnelli having to interfere. Alessandro Paolucci was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Rivale's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Bruno Palladino came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Rivale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Palladino couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Rivale's Anselmo Simone got a free kick in the 62nd minute. With an all-out effort, Rivale's Alvise Sarnelli threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Attilio Catapano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Alessandro Paolucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Dave Tullo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience was convinced that Bruno Palladino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alvise Sarnelli was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Paolucci in the 84th minute of play forced Porto Fuori's goalkeeper Alvise Sarnelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvise Sarnelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Palladino's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. The long shot by Ove Sörman in the 87th minute really tested Alvise Sarnelli's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Ballerini in the 96th minute of play forced Rivale's goalkeeper Fulvio Pascali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Rivale left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Porto Fuori.
