Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amerigo Nardi in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesare Lattanzio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Amerigo Nardi managed to get in a good position for a shot. AS Porto Ercole's supporters rose to their feet, but Amerigo Nardi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesare Lattanzio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AS Porto Ercole's Donato Bassani got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cesare Lattanzio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amerigo Nardi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Tiburtini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Lo Iacono, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 17 played minutes AS Porto Ercole got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Laurenti. Bianco Calabrese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Fabio Tiburtini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to AS Porto Ercole getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Aldo Laurenti hit a great ball. Donato Bassani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amerigo Nardi struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Cesare Lattanzio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Porto Ercole. The long shot by Cristoforo Giordani in the 32nd minute really tested Fabio Tiburtini's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Biagio Cinalli managed to get in a good position for a shot. LONGESE's supporters rose to their feet, but Biagio Cinalli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Tiburtini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bianco Calabrese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. With a little luck, AS Porto Ercole's Fabio Tiburtini got control of the ball when Bianco Calabrese tried to sneak it across the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Fedele Rulli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Porto Ercole's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LONGESE the free kick. Fedele Rulli kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Bianco Calabrese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Tiburtini having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donato Bassani to make the kick off. Bianco Calabrese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Biagio Cinalli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LONGESE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A hard shot 65 in the game by Amerigo Nardi from a close distance when the talented Cesare Lattanzio managed to make a qualified save. LONGESE's players were relieved. 1-1 became the score in the 66th minute when Donato Bassani elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Bianco Calabrese came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the LONGESE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bianco Calabrese couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Bianco Calabrese managed to get in a good position for a shot. LONGESE's supporters rose to their feet, but Bianco Calabrese was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Tiburtini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Biagio Cinalli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. LONGESE's Bianco Calabrese got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bianco Calabrese might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Tiburtini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bianco Calabrese ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute, Biagio Cinalli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bianco Calabrese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabio Tiburtini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Biagio Cinalli in the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th play minute Amerigo Nardi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cesare Lattanzio. 1-2. The LONGESE supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AS Porto Ercole's performance. The match ended with a win for AS Porto Ercole.
