A collision led to Poggioreale AFC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Armin De Santis hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dave Genovesi during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dave Genovesi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. With his leg Alvise Garofoli managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Poggioreale AFC's Ernesto Cipollone fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fulvio De Bettin kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rdth minute of the game Achille Pennetta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poggioreale AFC's Franco Di Biagio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Ne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Demetrio Cancemi came free, but Alvise Garofoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franco Di Biagio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Achille Pennetta went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Franco Di Biagio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Achille Pennetta in the 37th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Poggioreale AFC's zone, Achille Pennetta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Di Biagio came out of the goal and Achille Pennetta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Demetrio Cancemi to strike the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 54 in the game by Achille Pennetta from a close distance when the talented Franco Di Biagio managed to make a qualified save. Poggioreale AFC's players were relieved. Armin De Santis made in the 72nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ernesto Cipollone however managed to control. Achille Pennetta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Franco Di Biagio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Armin De Santis in the 77th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ne FC's Amos Fiori. Ernesto Cipollone took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvise Garofoli. Alvise Garofoli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Demetrio Cancemi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
