Frank Picciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Massimini in the 5th minute of the match. After having played for 9 minutes, Armando Ferrini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cologno Monzese FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Ferrini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Cologno Monzese FC's goalkeeper Ferdinando Aversano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrico Baratta. Ferdinando Aversano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo De Lorenzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Enrico Baratta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ferdinando Aversano. Enrico Baratta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Enrico Baratta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ferdinando Aversano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd play minute Enrico Baratta came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ferdinando Aversano. 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo De Lorenzi in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdinando Aversano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Cologno Monzese FC booed when Renaissance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Guerrini didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Enrico Baratta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Dennis Della Torre reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ferdinando Aversano. The goal made the score 3-0. 37 minutes into the match, Renaissance's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Massimini came free, but Frank Picciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Loiacono charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Loiacono the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Cologno Monzese FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Loiacono. Angelo De Lorenzi struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Ferdinando Aversano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Renaissance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Massimini was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Enrico Baratta put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ferdinando Aversano. Angelo De Lorenzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinando Aversano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrico Baratta, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 64 minutes into the match, Cologno Monzese FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enrico Baratta came free, but Ferdinando Aversano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cologno Monzese FC's Ferdinando Aversano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo De Lorenzi in the 67th minute of play. After some careless play in the Cologno Monzese FC defense, Angelo De Lorenzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferdinando Aversano. The Cologno Monzese FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdinando Aversano should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd minute, Angelo De Lorenzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cologno Monzese FC's goalkeeper Ferdinando Aversano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Angelo De Lorenzi might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdinando Aversano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angelo De Lorenzi ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Renaissance getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Dennis Della Torre hit a great ball. Ferdinando Aversano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Baratta in the 85th minute of play. In the 90th minute Enrico Baratta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinando Aversano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cologno Monzese FC's zone, Enrico Baratta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinando Aversano came out of the goal and Enrico Baratta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enrico Baratta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinando Aversano having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Renaissance had won after a very even match.
