After having played for 45 minutes, Cesare Pala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nuova Florida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesare Pala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barnaba Poteralski to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Cesare Pala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nuova Florida's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesare Pala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Real Lanciano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nuova Florida the free kick. Nuova Florida's Filippo Antonioni was substituted for Fortunato Liaci. Comunardo Iacobucci kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match.
