After a defensive mix-up in Nuova Florida's zone, Alessandro Evangelista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bayern Francavilla's Achille Grasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnaba Poteralski in the 27th minute of play. Fortunato Liaci took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Achille Grasso. Achille Grasso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After some careless play in the Nuova Florida defense, Alessandro Evangelista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Alessandrini. The Nuova Florida fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Alessandrini should have stopped the shot. Fausto De Bartolo struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Achille Grasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nuova Florida. 41 minutes into the match, Bayern Francavilla's goal looked a bit too open when Barnaba Poteralski came free, but Achille Grasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nuova Florida's Cesare Pala got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After 47 played minutes Bayern Francavilla got a freekick which was hit by Dino Spinosa. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ercole Simonetti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Armin Nobili fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Achille Grasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barnaba Poteralski in the 54th minute. Cesare Pala struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Achille Grasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nuova Florida. Fausto De Bartolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Achille Grasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bayern Francavilla's Ermanno Coletti got a free kick in the 68th minute. Achille Grasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fortunato Liaci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dino Spinosa during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 75 played minutes Bayern Francavilla got a freekick which was hit by Dino Spinosa. Dino Spinosa kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match.
