Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavio Gulli in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ettore Cesareo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 5 minutes into the match, Marina di Ascea's goal looked a bit too open when Edmondo Palumbo came free, but Ettore Cesareo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Molo Social Club's Edmondo Palumbo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ettore Cesareo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Fausto Ciarrocchi fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marina di Ascea's protests and gave Fausto Ciarrocchi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Molo Social Club booed when Marina di Ascea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Ciarrocchi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Arturo Greco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marina di Ascea's Ettore Cesareo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmondo Palumbo in the 13th minute of play. Demetrio Pantano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ettore Cesareo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 18 minutes, Arturo Greco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Molo Social Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Greco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute Flavio Gulli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore Cesareo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ettore Cesareo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Gulli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ettore Cesareo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Greco in the 25th minute of play. Ettore Cesareo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmondo Palumbo's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes Marina di Ascea got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Ciarrocchi. Corrado Montanari hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Ettore Cesareo came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Molo Social Club's Flavio Gulli. But to his dismay, Flavio Gulli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Greco in the 33rd minute of play forced Marina di Ascea's goalkeeper Ettore Cesareo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Biagio Di Michele struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ettore Cesareo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Molo Social Club. When Edmondo Palumbo came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Molo Social Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmondo Palumbo couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, Arturo Greco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ettore Cesareo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 41st minute Flavio Gulli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore Cesareo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmondo Palumbo in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ettore Cesareo saved Marina di Ascea from getting behind. Ettore Cesareo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavio Gulli's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmondo Palumbo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Camillo Angelini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ettore Cesareo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Marina di Ascea's Ettore Cesareo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Marina di Ascea from getting a goal against them. Edoardo Muzi in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ettore Cesareo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ettore Cesareo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camillo Angelini, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Flavio Gulli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ettore Cesareo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Greco in the 67th minute of the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Flavio Gulli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Edmondo Palumbo took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Ettore Cesareo to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Marina di Ascea's Fausto Ciarrocchi got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Ettore Cesareo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Gulli, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After some careless play in the Marina di Ascea defense, Edmondo Palumbo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ettore Cesareo. The Marina di Ascea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ettore Cesareo should have stopped the shot. The Molo Social Club fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Molo Social Club's Edmondo Palumbo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
