Magica ASR's Comunardo Ferrara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Mercuri in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gardigiano's zone, Aldo Sabatini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Chelodi came out of the goal and Aldo Sabatini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Domenico Guida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Ferrara having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Domenico Guida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38thth minute of the game Domenico Guida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Magica ASR's Comunardo Ferrara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Magica ASR's Comunardo Ferrara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Mercuri in the 42nd minute of play. Francesco Mercuri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Comunardo Ferrara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Cristiano Chelodi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Gardigiano's Domenico Guida sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Comunardo Ferrara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Aldo Sabatini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Chelodi was relentless in the 71st minute of the game.
