If Bianco Palombi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvise De Michele kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Alvise De Michele cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ettore Bellisario was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bianco Palombi scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ettore Bellisario, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bianco Palombi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore Bellisario having to interfere. When Alvise De Michele came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Codemondo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvise De Michele couldn't finish the play. After having played for 22 minutes, Bianco Palombi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Codemondo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bianco Palombi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th match minute, Sampdoria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Costanzo to maneuver through the defense. If Bianco Palombi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biagio Censi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. Sampdoria's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Alvise De Michele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Codemondo getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Anselmo Piccioli hit a great ball. After the first half Codemondo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bianco Palombi to strike the kick off in the second half. Bianco Palombi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ettore Bellisario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damiano Antonini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosimo Porreca having to interfere. When Biagio Censi came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Sampdoria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Biagio Censi couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute of the match Enzo Mingione sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cosimo Porreca skillfully saved the ball. Cosimo Porreca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biagio Censi in the 72nd minute of play. Biagio Censi struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Cosimo Porreca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sampdoria. Davide Zulli hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the game, Sampdoria's Biagio Censi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cosimo Porreca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 80 minutes into the match, Sampdoria's goal looked a bit too open when Bianco Palombi came free, but Ettore Bellisario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Damiano Antonini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes in the game, Alvise De Michele fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ettore Bellisario having to interfere. Codemondo played a much better game than Sampdoria and deserved their victory. The Sampdoria players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
