Vicomero AFC's Bruno Fabrizio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amerigo Panino in the 7th minute of play. Alberigo Salemme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Giardini in the 10th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Sottomarina AFC defense, Concetto Tieri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberigo Salemme. The Sottomarina AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberigo Salemme should have stopped the shot. When Amerigo Panino came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Sottomarina AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amerigo Panino couldn't finish the play. Felice Urbanis short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Bruno Fabrizio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Amerigo Panino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bruno Fabrizio came out and tried to block the shot, but Amerigo Panino slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 30th minute. Concetto Tieri struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Alberigo Salemme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vicomero AFC. After a rather tough play, Sottomarina AFC's Alfonso Giampieri got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When Concetto Tieri came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Vicomero AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Concetto Tieri couldn't finish the play. Sottomarina AFC's Alberigo Salemme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Giardini in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Vicomero AFC booed when Sottomarina AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corrado Di Felice didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Sottomarina AFC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Corrado Di Felice hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Vicomero AFC's Edoardo Cordone broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 68 played minutes Sottomarina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Camillo Costantino. If Alfredo Giardini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Giardini in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberigo Salemme saved Sottomarina AFC from getting behind. After 73 played minutes Sottomarina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Camillo Costantino. In the 74th minute, Sottomarina AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alfredo Giardini fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Vicomero AFC's Aldo De Vecchis got a free kick in the 76th minute. Federico Luciani, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vicomero AFC's zone, Felice Urbani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Fabrizio came out of the goal and Felice Urbani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amerigo Panino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Fabrizio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sottomarina AFC's goalkeeper Alberigo Salemme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Sottomarina AFC booed when Vicomero AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo De Vecchis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sottomarina AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vicomero AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
