Spectators: 6686 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 2) Corticella's Alessio Piola started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Damiano Formaggio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Flavio Diana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9thth minute of the game Damiano Formaggio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corticella's Flavio Diana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Piero FC's Damiano Formaggio in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corticella's goalie prevented a goal. Flavio Diana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damiano Formaggio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Diana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Petrella's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Daniele Lauria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anthony Lopez charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anthony Lopez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Piero FC booed when Corticella was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Piero FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Damiano Formaggio hit a great ball. Alessio Piola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Francesco Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Piero FC's goalkeeper Francesco Franco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Santone. 28 minutes into the match, Corticella's Ernesto Miranda broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 33 minutes into the game, Piero FC's Damiano Formaggio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Diana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 38 minutes into the match, Piero FC's Damiano Formaggio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Diana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Flavio Diana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Biagio Vitelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Fausto Santone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piero FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Alessio Piola scored to the left of an out of position Francesco Franco, making the score, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to Corticella getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ernesto Cucci hit a great ball. If Arturo Petrella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Petrella in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Diana saved Corticella from getting behind. In the 63rd match minute, Corticella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Cucci to maneuver through the defense. If Biagio Vitelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 67 minutes into the game, when Arrigo Alessandrini put in a rough tackle. In the 66th minute, one of Corticella:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Corticella. Daniele Lauria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Flavio Diana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Biagio Vitelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Diana. Corticella's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Biagio Vitelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 75 minutes into the game, Fausto Santone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corticella's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piero FC the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Corticella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Santone to maneuver through the defense. Ernesto Cucci hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes Corticella got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Cucci. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damiano Formaggio in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Diana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Damiano Formaggio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Diana having to interfere. Anthony Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Franco having to interfere. Daniele Lauria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Diana having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Arturo Petrella fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Damiano Formaggio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Miranda took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 100th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Francesco Franco. Piero FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Piero FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Corticella.
