After a defensive mix-up in ASD Molinella 1911's zone, Claudio Maestri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunato Castagna came out of the goal and Claudio Maestri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Claudio Maestri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Castagna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Pietrini in the 25th minute of play forced ASD Molinella 1911's goalkeeper Fortunato Castagna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Arturo Lepori got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The ASD Molinella 1911 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fortunato Castagna should have stopped the shot. Adriano Ronca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Castagna having to interfere. If Claudio Maestri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunato Castagna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Maestri in the 82nd minute of play. Fortunato Castagna was a little too slow when Claudio Maestri got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. Claudio Maestri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Castagna having to interfere. If Adriano Ronca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sciarborasca FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
