The supporters of Santeramo F.C. booed when SAMARATE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessio Schirru didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Francesco Cino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Fabio Pocobello successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Frank Improta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Fabio Pocobello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Frank Improta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Pocobello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Pocobello didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Santeramo F.C.'s Frank Improta shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Frank Improta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santeramo F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Improta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Pocobello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, SAMARATE FC's Andrea Balestra threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carlo Evani, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Improta in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Pocobello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabio Pocobello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santeramo F.C.. Santeramo F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Improta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the game, Amos Rosi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAMARATE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santeramo F.C. the free kick. Santeramo F.C.'s Frank Improta got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabio Pocobello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Improta, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Frank Improta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the game, Francesco Cino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Fabio Pocobello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Santeramo F.C.'s Christian Di Cesare got a free kick in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Rinaldi in the 92nd minute of play forced Santeramo F.C.'s goalkeeper Andrea Balestra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Dario Rinaldi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrea Balestra. Santeramo F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dario Rinaldi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. When the match clock showed 100 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Francesco Cino sped through SAMARATE FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabio Pocobello. Santeramo F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
