Anthony Del Duca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Bertoni in the 41st minute of the match. After some careless play in the A.C. New Gorla Minore defense, Biagio Sciarra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anthony Del Duca. The A.C. New Gorla Minore fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anthony Del Duca should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurelio Precioso to make the kick off.
