Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fabiano Atroce started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 3 minutes, Achille Iacovacci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Verona and the Racing Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Achille Iacovacci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute, Biagio Sciarra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elia Bernardini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Biagio Sciarra in the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Verona's goal looked a bit too open when Fortunato Bertoni came free, but Elia Bernardini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fortunato Bertoni struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Elia Bernardini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. In the 13th match minute, Verona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achille Iacovacci to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Biagio Sciarra in the 16th minute of play forced Verona's goalkeeper Elia Bernardini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elia Bernardini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fortunato Bertoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Fortunato Bertoni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elia Bernardini was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Elia Bernardini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Biagio Sciarra went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Bernardo Sansoni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dennis La Marca in the 29th minute. Elia Bernardini came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Club's Fortunato Bertoni. But to his dismay, Fortunato Bertoni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Biagio Sciarra to strike the kick off in the second half. Verona's Elia Bernardini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Biagio Sciarra in the 53rd minute of play. After 56 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Arrigo Epifani. Fortunato Bertoni scored 0-4 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elia Bernardini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Biagio Sciarra during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fortunato Bertoni who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Elia Bernardini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Verona defense, Biagio Sciarra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elia Bernardini. The Verona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elia Bernardini should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Dennis La Marca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verona's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis La Marca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Sansoni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beppe Di Fazio kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Verona's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Fabio Miccoli scored to the left of an out of position Elia Bernardini, making the score, 0-6. Verona's Elia Bernardini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Biagio Sciarra in the 88th minute of play. Elia Bernardini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fortunato Bertoni in the 89th minute.
