In the 22nd match minute, Canelli AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achille Ceccon to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Canelli AC's zone, Ernesto Micucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Gerola came out of the goal and Ernesto Micucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciccio Gentile could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Bianco Di Leonardo made a huge save. Canelli AC's Anselmo Gerola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Reggianini in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Canelli AC's Augusto Palladino got a free kick in the 41st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessandro Silveri during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Canelli AC booed when Richmond AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. When Ciccio Gentile came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Canelli AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciccio Gentile couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Ciccio Gentile ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bianco Di Leonardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ciccio Gentile kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Fabiano Reggianini came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Anselmo Gerola could save by the left post. Ciccio Gentile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
