MOLFETTA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rapuluolisa Nuchanapai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Rapuluolisa Nuchanapai struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Fortunato Piacentini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Negrar. After some careless play in the A.S. MOLFETTA defense, Ciro Bassani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fortunato Piacentini. The A.S. MOLFETTA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fortunato Piacentini should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rapuluolisa Nuchanapai was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Ciro Bassani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.S. MOLFETTA's Fortunato Piacentini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A.S. MOLFETTA! Fortunato Piacentini had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Dino Carlucci's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mikkel Frøseth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damiano Firmani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Bassani in the 61st minute of play forced A.S. MOLFETTA's goalkeeper Fortunato Piacentini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Negrar's Ciro Bassani got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Bassani in the 66th minute of play forced A.S. MOLFETTA's goalkeeper Fortunato Piacentini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Negrar's Ciro Bassani dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Rapuluolisa Nuchanapai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Fortunato Piacentini made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rapuluolisa Nuchanapai got free with Fortunato Piacentini in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute Ciro Bassani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Piacentini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, A.S. MOLFETTA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rapuluolisa Nuchanapai fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ciro Bassani received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fortunato Piacentini came out and tried to block the shot, but Ciro Bassani slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 79th minute. Rapuluolisa Nuchanapai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Fortunato Piacentini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in A.S. MOLFETTA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 90 minutes, Negrar's Dino Carlucci got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Fortunato Piacentini. After 93 played minutes A.S. MOLFETTA got a freekick which was hit by Abdul Aziz van de Meerakker. After a rather tough play, Negrar's Antonello Garibaldi got a free kick in the 96th minute. Negrar's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
