In the 7th match minute, Fortitudo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Bearzot to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, Fortitudo's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Pace came free, but Achille Scarcella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Achille Scarcella successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arturo Chiappini was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Achille Scarcella was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 93rd minute Cristoforo Fabrizio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achille Scarcella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
