The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfredo Travaglini hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Emiliano Orsi charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emiliano Orsi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Mosciano FC got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Orsi. 8 minutes into the match, Pieve Vecchia's Ermanno Andreozzi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ercole Pace recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudio Liberati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Anthony Cirulli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Liberati sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ercole Pace had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes Pieve Vecchia got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Andreozzi. Anthony Cirulli was a little too slow when Ercole Pace got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-0. Claudio Liberati sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pieve Vecchia's Anthony Cirulli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Pace in the 46th minute of play. Ercole Pace sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ercole Pace made a kick off. Claudio Liberati took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anthony Cirulli. Anthony Cirulli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When Claudio Liberati came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Mosciano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Liberati couldn't finish the play. Ercole Pace took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anthony Cirulli. Anthony Cirulli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amos Giusti during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Amos Giusti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ercole Pace blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anthony Cirulli having to make a save. Ercole Pace scored 5-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anthony Cirulli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pieve Vecchia's goalkeeper Anthony Cirulli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anthony Cirulli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ercole Pace went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Claudio Liberati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Cirulli having to interfere. After some careless play in the Pieve Vecchia defense, Ercole Pace kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anthony Cirulli. The Pieve Vecchia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anthony Cirulli should have stopped the shot. Claudio Liberati's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anthony Cirulli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ercole Pace managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mosciano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ercole Pace was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anthony Cirulli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
