Andrea Santagata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Tiberio having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Poggio Superiore fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! In the 21st minute Andrea Santagata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Tiberio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Claudio Piola notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Caslino Al Piano FC's Franco Tiberio. Franco Tiberio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Poggio Superiore's Domenico Macchia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Poggio Superiore from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Piola in the 34th minute of play forced Caslino Al Piano FC's goalkeeper Franco Tiberio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Davide Sciarretta charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Davide Sciarretta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35 played minutes Caslino Al Piano FC got a freekick which was hit by Davide Sciarretta. Andrea Santagata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Franco Tiberio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franco Tiberio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Piola in the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Cosimo Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caslino Al Piano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cosimo Santo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cosimo Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Domenico Macchia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciccio Lucantoni in the 52nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Poggio Superiore's zone, Cosimo Santo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domenico Macchia came out of the goal and Cosimo Santo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caslino Al Piano FC's Franco Tiberio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Piola in the 57th minute of play. When Claudio Piola came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Poggio Superiore fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Piola couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Caslino Al Piano FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Alessandro Raimondi hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Emilio Santo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franco Tiberio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Ciccio Lucantoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caslino Al Piano FC's Franco Tiberio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Caslino Al Piano FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Caslino Al Piano FC's Camillo Vida got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosimo Santo in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domenico Macchia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Bruno Lucidi fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caslino Al Piano FC's protests and gave Bruno Lucidi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Andrea Santagata fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Franco Tiberio, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Poggio Superiore's Flavio Melito got a free kick in the 88th minute. Domenico Macchia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciccio Lucantoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosimo Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Poggio Superiore's Claudio Piola got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
