Spectators: 6703 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 0) Cologna FC's Emiliano Sampo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pierre Dewhirst's late challenge caught a Cologna FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierre Dewhirst helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ciak 37 getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Pierre Dewhirst hit a great ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Emiliano Sampo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cologna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Sampo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pierre Dewhirst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Ascenzi having to interfere. Eugenio Villani made in the 13th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Emiliano Sampo. Cologna FC's Federico Ascenzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Dewhirst in the 22nd minute of play. Augusto Tenaglia made a great header on Ciak 37's corner, it was just that Cologna FC's Federico Ascenzi managed to reach the ball for a save. When Pierre Dewhirst came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Ciak 37 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre Dewhirst couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute of the match Achille Olivieri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amos Gargano skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Ciak 37 booed when Cologna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Diana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd play minute Franco Di Battista came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Amos Gargano. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pierre Dewhirst to strike the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Achille Olivieri in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ciak 37's Bernardo Manna. Amos Gargano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Di Battista in the 65th minute of the match. Federico Ascenzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pierre Dewhirst in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute, Pierre Dewhirst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Federico Ascenzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Dewhirst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Cologna FC booed when Ciak 37 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Manna didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Franco Di Battista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cologna FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
