With his leg Eugenio Puce managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Sporting Roma's Martin Ivaňo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 23rd match minute, Marechiaro La Gaiola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Mori to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Natale was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 26th minute. When the referee ended the match the Sporting Roma players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
