Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alessio Monzeglio got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Sabbione's Armin Sampo got a free kick in the 4th minute. After 6 played minutes Rimini got a freekick which was hit by Alvise Giammarino. Alvise Giammarino hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Donato Orioli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Damiani having to interfere. Donato Orioli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Dario Damiani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Grossi in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Damiani saved Rimini from getting behind. Donato Orioli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Dario Damiani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Alfredo Cipriani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudio Menichini was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sabbione's goalkeeper Claudio Menichini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rimini's Dario Damiani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciccio Galdi in the 35th minute of play. Dario Damiani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donato Orioli went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Alfredo Cipriani came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Rimini fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Cipriani couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some careless play in the Rimini defense, Ciccio Galdi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Damiani. The Rimini fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Damiani should have stopped the shot. Dario Damiani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciccio Galdi in the 58th minute of play. If Donato Orioli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciccio Galdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Dario Damiani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Ciccio Galdi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dario Damiani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciccio Galdi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Rimini's Flavio Monzeglio got a free kick in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Sabbione's goalkeeper Claudio Menichini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Cipriani. When Sabbione's Donato Orioli in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rimini's goalie prevented a goal. Amedeo Minicucci's late challenge caught a Sabbione's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amedeo Minicucci helped the player get up and apologised. Amedeo Minicucci kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Claudio Menichini successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ciccio Galdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Damiani having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rimini's zone, Ciccio Galdi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dario Damiani came out of the goal and Ciccio Galdi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armin Sampo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rimini's goalkeeper Dario Damiani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dave Grossi in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dario Damiani prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
