Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlo Novella started the match with the kick off. In the 6th match minute, Vizzano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulvio Traini to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Flavio Mauro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Vizzano FC's Anthony Giannantonio didn't even have to move. 8 minutes into the game, one of Vizzano FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alessio Melone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Armando Zollino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 played minutes, Vizzano FC's Edmondo Coccolone shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armando Zollino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vizzano FC reached it. After having played for 24 minutes, Alessio Melone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vizzano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessio Melone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anthony Giannantonio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vizzano FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Corrado Biondi scored to the left of an out of position Anthony Giannantonio, making the score, 2-0. With his leg Anthony Giannantonio managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when San Desiderio's Corrado Biondi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 45th minute Alessio Melone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Zollino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corrado Biondi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Giannantonio having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudio Mazza was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Corrado Biondi managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Desiderio's supporters rose to their feet, but Corrado Biondi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anthony Giannantonio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. San Desiderio's Armando Zollino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save San Desiderio from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Corrado Biondi put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Anthony Giannantonio. Anthony Giannantonio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Mazza in the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Vizzano FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ferruccio Taranto hit a great ball. Attilio Natalucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Zollino having to interfere. Carlo Novella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Zollino having to interfere. After a rather tough play, San Desiderio's Claudio Mazza got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 77thth minute of the game Claudio Mazza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vizzano FC's Anthony Giannantonio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Claudio Mazza got free in front of the goal in the 80th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Anthony Giannantonio was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Claudio Mazza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Desiderio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 86th minute Claudio Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Giannantonio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Claudio Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of San Desiderio booed when Vizzano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Cassone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavio Mauro made a great header on San Desiderio's corner, it was just that Vizzano FC's Anthony Giannantonio managed to reach the ball for a save. San Desiderio were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Vizzano FC for a fine match.
