The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, A.C. Grontardo's goal looked a bit too open when Bertol Alvaro came free, but Camillo De Laurentiis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camillo De Laurentiis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertol Alvaro in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Dino Contaldi made a precise shot to the right of Camillo De Laurentiis. A.C. Grontardo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 11 minutes, Florian Lelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.C. Grontardo and the Castigliese 05 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, A.C. Grontardo's Florian Lelli got a free kick in the 11th minute. After some careless play in the A.C. Grontardo defense, Bertol Alvaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camillo De Laurentiis. The A.C. Grontardo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camillo De Laurentiis should have stopped the shot. Felice Trinca hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Negrini in the 30th minute of play forced Castigliese 05's goalkeeper Armin Di Carlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, A.C. Grontardo's goal looked a bit too open when Bertol Alvaro came free, but Camillo De Laurentiis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.C. Grontardo's Felice Trinca got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Felice Trinca off the ground. In the 38th match minute, A.C. Grontardo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felice Trinca to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Castigliese 05's Armin Frezza broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertol Alvaro made a kick off. Bertol Alvaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Camillo De Laurentiis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 72nd minute, Dino Contaldi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castigliese 05 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Carter Martelli hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Armin Di Carlo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Schiavoni in the 80th minute of play. If Ronald Mohr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camillo De Laurentiis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertol Alvaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The A.C. Grontardo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Castigliese 05's performance. The match ended with a win for Castigliese 05.
