Federico Ballerini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filippo Pagliarini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Sergi having to interfere. Dino Petruzzi hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. If Dennis Marulli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Federico Ballerini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristiano Sergi made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Ernesto Mastrangelo sent off a good shot on target. Ernesto Mastrangelo in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristiano Sergi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Federico Ballerini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Adriano Zisser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zoid FC's Ernesto Mastrangelo got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Filippo Pagliarini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Alessio Gaeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dennis Marulli to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristiano Sergi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Mastrangelo in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Zoid FC's goalkeeper Adriano Zisser had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Biagio Pensa. After having played for 67 minutes, Biagio Pensa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.S. Bari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Biagio Pensa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Biagio Pensas short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Adriano Zisser to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to A.S. Bari getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Amos Di Placido hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Dennis Marulli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zoid FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Marulli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Sergi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennis Marulli struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Cristiano Sergi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zoid FC.
