The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Cona AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Filippo Pagliarini came free, but Arturo Egger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Fabiano Proia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Adriano Zisser was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Filippo Pagliarini charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filippo Pagliarini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Filippo Pagliarini kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. If Eugenio Franceschini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Fabiano Proia came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Cona AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Proia couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Alvaro Doris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes Cona AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Proia. Cesare Ferrini hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cona AFC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Angelo Cannone hit a great ball. Adriano Zisser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Spiazzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florin Codrea in the 33rd minute of play forced Zoid FC's goalkeeper Adriano Zisser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adriano Zisser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Franceschini, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute Ernesto Mastrangelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Egger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match, Fabiano Proia got a very nice opportunity to score, but Adriano Zisser was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 43 minutes into the match, Zoid FC's goalkeeper Adriano Zisser had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabiano Proia. Fabiano Proia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adriano Zisser read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 52nd minute, Fabiano Proia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adriano Zisser was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Fabiano Proia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Adriano Zisser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florin Codrea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adriano Zisser having to make a save. Eugenio Franceschini might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adriano Zisser. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugenio Franceschini ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 66th minute Florin Codrea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Zisser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Egger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Marulli in the 71st minute of the match. Alvise Pavia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Proia in the 90th minute of play forced Zoid FC's goalkeeper Adriano Zisser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Egger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Marulli in the 91st minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Zoid FC got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Mastrangelo. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cona AFC fully deserved thier win.
