An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Volta in the 6th minute of play forced Real Normannia's goalkeeper Angelo Corvi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Real Normannia's Angelo Corvi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Volta in the 8th minute of play. After some careless play in the A.S.D.C. Fiume Veneto defense, Dino Mascia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ercole Ippoliti. The A.S.D.C. Fiume Veneto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ercole Ippoliti should have stopped the shot. Ermanno Muzi hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. If Armando Volta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 played minutes Real Normannia got a freekick which was hit by Dino Mascia. Angelo Corvi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Volta's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Armando Volta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.S.D.C. Fiume Veneto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Volta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ercole Ippoliti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Mascia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ermanno Muzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Angelo Corvi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, A.S.D.C. Fiume Veneto's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Valerio came free, but Ercole Ippoliti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Real Normannia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Mascia to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dino Mascia during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Ermanno Muzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 48 minutes of play, Real Normannia's Angelo Lalli made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ercole Ippoliti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugenio Torri was the one to do the kick off. Ercole Ippoliti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Torri in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Real Normannia's Eugenio Valerio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ercole Ippoliti. Ercole Ippoliti yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Angelo Corvi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Volta in the 60th minute of play. Armando Volta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Corvi having to interfere. The supporters of Real Normannia booed when A.S.D.C. Fiume Veneto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedele Di Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Armando Volta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Real Normannia's goal looked a bit too open when Ermanno Muzi came free, but Angelo Corvi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real Normannia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
