Corrado Di Meo might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ennio Salemme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Corrado Di Meo ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabio De Santis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Orkef's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Di Matteo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Di Matteo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Frank Manna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute Fabio De Santis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennio Salemme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Manna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ermanno Sciamanna's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute.
