Alexander Pili scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristoforo Oroni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Concetto Flamini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciccio Trombatore having to make a save. Edgar Nordlander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristoforo Oroni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexander Pili in the 35th minute. Edgar Nordlander who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Cristoforo Oroni when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Emilio Di Martino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristoforo Oroni having to make a save. Cristoforo Oroni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexander Pili in the 43rd minute. Alexander Pili recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexander Pili made a kick off. The supporters of Pol. In the 57th minute, Amerigo Nardone sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Villa Verucchio's Cristoforo Oroni didn't even have to move. Cristoforo Oroni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 74th minute Edgar Nordlander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Oroni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alexander Pili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Nordlander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Oroni having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Villa Verucchio:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pol. Campomaggio P.D.:s goal. Amerigo Nardone shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Villa Verucchio's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
